Due to a shortage of Foster Homes, we now have limited space available, this space is reserved mainly for emergency medical situations only. If you would like to help us in this way, you can read more about how to be a Foster Home or Volunteer. here...

Before applying to surrender your bird, we ask you to make sure this is what you really want, as after entering the NYPR rescue service and being introduced into a new home situation we will not be disturbing the birds once they have settled and are being properly cared for, according to all of our adoption polices.

So please first read these pages on our website: The Parrot Crisis and Cage or Aviary  These pages are designed to help you make the best decision for your birds future.

We can not always take in all birds that we receive enquiries about. For this reason we work with other rescues and sanctuary's in England and Wales. So you may be referred to another rescue or a sanctuary in your area. Most rescues in the country are full, but we will do our best to put you in contact with someone who can help.
